Satpura Tiger Reserve is cradled in the rugged hills of the Satpura range in the Hoshangabad district of Madhya Pradesh. Rich in biocultural diversity, the Satpura national park was established in 1981 and harbours some of the critically endangered animal and plant species. The terrain of the national park is extremely rugged and consists of fascinating deep alleys, sandstone peaks, narrow gorges, rivulets and waterfalls. atpura is the only national park in India that allows walking safaris, canoe rides, bicycle rides in the core area of the national park. Apart from the Jeep safari, the canoe safari is done along the banks of Denwa river which flows through the park.

Forsyth Lodge

Forsyth’s Lodge satpura situated beside Sarangpur village, at the northern edge of the Satpura Tiger Reserve, opposite what is known as the Madai Entrance to the reserve. The Denwa, one of the tributaries of the Narmada, separates the reserve from human habitation.
